Dr. Imtiaz, an Associate Professor of Chemical and Materials Engineering at King Abdulaziz University (KAU), is a highly accomplished researcher in the field of resource recovery from biomass and wastes. He has published over 70 peer-reviewed papers in journals and conferences and has a proven track record of success in working independently or as part of multicultural and interdisciplinary research teams.
His research addresses several Sustainable Development Goals by providing solutions for clean water (SDG 6), clean energy (SDG 7), responsible consumption and production (SDG 12), and climate action (SDG 13).
Dr. Imtiaz is also a senior member of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) and a professional member of Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC). In addition to his research and teaching duties, Dr. Imtiaz edits special issues in reputed journals, and reviews papers for distinguished journals. He also serves as the ABET accreditation coordinator for the Chemical Engineering program at KAU.
