Engineering college totaled 293 publications with a Field-Weighted Citation Impact (FWCI) of 1.17 at Scopus in which Chemical Engineering department contributed the highest number of publications (284) with an FWCI of 1.70.
Comparison with Other Universities:
The college has lower number of publications and citations compared to other engineering colleges from established universities in the Kingdom. However, the college has a higher international collaboration rate compared to other engineering colleges.
Departmental Performance:
Chemical Engineering department is highly productive department, while the Architecture Engineering department has the least contribution in terms of publication count. Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering departments have a lower research productivity compared to newly established departments of other Saudi universities.
Research Focus:
